Just got to the stage in windsurfing were i want to learn to use a harness, ive got a seat harness, as it allows me to wear a buoncyaid as well. However im finding it very hard to hook in simply because the harness is so low, (most of the other sailors around me use waist harness) and they have no problem hooking in in the same winds. I was mainly wondering were abouts the spreader bar should be (e.g waist, stomach etc.) and if there are any other things which coulds be stopping me from hooking in.

Anyway thanks for your help, much appreciated :!:

Harness line length could be too short or you could be positioning the connections too wide on the boom. If all else fails, Dakine Hawaii makes the Surf Seat which is a seat harness with higher bar placement. It's bar falls somewhere between a waist and normal seat harness. It takes awhile to develop the quick connect body thrust so don't grow discouraged; you'll get it.
