Hey ya'll:

Check out our Bonus Coverage on the Exocet Kona at www.windsurfingmag.com/kona.

I know most of you won't get a chance to ride it for some time - but are ya interested? Would ya give it a shot?

I'll tell you one thing - I've ridden it, and I want one!

Awwwww dood.....you know I want one. Thing would be slick for mushy onshore Lake Michigan sloppy sub planing winds. Love my One Design...I know I'd love running around on this thing.

I've added the Kona to 'my gotta get' it list. I remember my long board from the 80's and it was slick and fast. The Kona sounds fast and the ducktail looks very interesting. I think this would definitely compliment the boards I have and allow me to sail in almost any wind conditions.

Just wanted to post my first ride on the Kona. First I will state that I started windsurfing about two years ago and my only "longboard" experience was on a Mistral IMCO for about two hours. That being said the Kona does everything it is advertised to do; I was in the Marco River today with typical light summer afternoon winds of 5-12 mph and had a lot of fun. ?Surfed? on the wake of some passing boats, got in the straps planing on some gust and went exploring without fear as I was able to get way up wind with the center board comfortably; I never felt like I was slogging. This board turns much more quickly and easily than the IMCO, I look forward to learning about railing and other techniques. I was sailing with an 8.5 Ezzy Infinity and went with a 48cm freeride fin.
After several summers of sitting and waiting on a tropical storm to get out and sail, it will be a great change to be able to go out on my terms!

I have on order, looking forward to getting it. This season I got both the wife and the 10-year-old hooked on windsurfing, during a Hatteras vacation. Now they are fighting over our Fanatic Viper 80, need a second recreational board with a centerboard.

Of course I will also use it on sub-planing days!
